After a major flood in our lower level while we were out of town, we were facing some significant repairs and also wanted to do some big upgrades that we had been contemplating for a long time.

We researched contractors who also did remodeling in Park City, and Eddie of McLaughlin Homes had such glowing recommendations from homeowners in our area, that we knew we should meet with him.

It was one of the best decisions we have ever made regarding our home. He was very responsive and met with us quickly, came up with fair and reasonable budgets for various aspects of the work, and even found some ways for us to save money.

In addition to extensive repair work including the replacement of all the wood floors, we had two big projects for a wine room and a wet bar in the game room, and he had terrific ideas about design and materials. He was great about listening to us and understanding what it was we wanted, and the finished product is much better than we had ever hoped for.

In addition, it is obvious that his subcontractors respect him and are also very responsive and get things done when they promise. I will say, however, that one of the best things about working with Eddie is his friendly demeanor.

We feel like have made a good friend, and we couldn’t be happier with the work he’s done. In fact, we’ve already hired him to do a major deck addition

We met Eddie in the fall of 2015 through a recommendation from our neighbor. We purchased a large fixer-upper in the summer of 2015 with the intent to remodel.

This project was our first foray into remodeling and we were very wary of hiring a contractor as we had heard many horror stories.

We interviewed three architects, two design build contractors and eight general contractors prior to even putting pen to paper.

We chose Eddie because he was extremely responsive, had a great eye for design and had glowing recommendations from all his clients whom he still maintains healthy relationships with.

Eddie didn’t disappoint once we hired him. He was aware of our cost concerns, his bids were on target and he made sure that we stayed in budget.

We took our home down to the studs and had little if any surprises that were not caught by Eddie before they ballooned into an expensive fix. The best thing about Eddie was that he was present daily on the job site to oversee and work on the project.

This service did not end once we finished and he still checks in to make sure that all is going well. We ended up with a fantastic looking home and even more fantastic friends in Eddie and Patti.

We built a new 4500 custom home in Ranch Place in the summer of 2018 with McLaughlin Homes and are extremely happy with the results. If we built another home we would work with them again. We have referred them since the completion of the project and will continue to do so with total satisfaction.

John and I met Eddie in April of 2009.  He came to our home sat down with us and really listened to our ideas of what we wanted to do as far as a remodel to the outside of our home. 

Eddie gave us some great ideas, but always listened to what we wanted too.  He had us go to other houses in the area and really look at rock colors and textures, exterior paint colors, windows and window frames, stucco colors and texture too.  So we felt like we really had a good idea of the changes he could make to our home.
 
Some of the qualities that we were looking for in a contractor were honesty, someone we could contact at anytime, and staying on a budget.  Eddie has all of these qualities.
 
Eddie also has a great group of subcontractors that work with him.  He was always here on the job when the subs showed up and he came at the end of the day to make sure the job had been done right.
 
Eddie is also very meticulous, with the work he does and the work that his subcontractors do for him, which we really appreciated because we knew that we were having the best job done.

When we drive up to our house now we have to smile because it looks so beautiful and so different from what it was before our remodel !
